On June 29th, 2013, hundreds of Elite Africans and distinguished residents of New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Connecticut, and guests all over the United States were witnesses as Guinea beauty Zoubaidatou Sylla was crowned Miss Africa CONGRATULATIONS !!!
Here’s Zoubaidatou in her own words…
Hello everyone Zoubaidatou Sylla is the introductory of who I am, from the beautiful country of Guinea, came to the United States at the age of 14. I am currently a goal driven …student at Essex County College studying criminal justice in order to insure justice and security in the US and the beautiful continent of Africa. I stand for Education, Love, and Peace;
My platform is fighting against Female Genital Mutilation because I was a victim of FGM at a very young age and I believe that no child should have to face the pain or side affects of FGM. Miss Africa Tristate is not about beauty but helping the continent of Africa, also to reunite our beautiful countries to stand as one Africa. My parents always told me that if you always wipe tears of a child’s face you will live with a smile on your face. As Miss Africa Tristate I vow to conduct my self as a lady at all time.
As President Barack Obama Quote “The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”
