On September 25th, 2014, The South African Consulate General in New York, Imbizo Host Committee and Senator Bill Perkins hosted the event “ Moving South African forward the Diaspora role” in Harlem for His Excellency President Jacob Zuma at… Adam Powell State Office Building.
Miss Africa Tri State 2014; Queen Nasiphi Sobahle was a Special Guest at the event.
It was a night of nice hors d’oeuvre, good music, and indeed bridging the gap between the Government officials and the South Africans in Diaspora via questions and answers.

On Saturday August 16th, MATS 2014 Queen Nasiphi hosted the Cookout for a good cause. Special thanks to everyone that made it a success! All funds raised would be used to support the elementary school ” Power of love” in South Africa.
MATS 1st Runner Up; Miss Priscilla Twumasi and MATS Queen Zoubaidatou Sylla were Special Guests of Honor at the just concluded 5th Annual African’s in Diaspora in Newark NJ on September 8th, 2013. It was a beautiful event with lots of activ…ities to connect Africans with non Africans. Also in attendance was the South African Consulate General George Monyemangene who accepted the City honorary recognition on behalf of Nelson Mandela.
Miss Africa Tri State Zoubaidatou Sylla graced the 6th annual ACANA African Festival event in PA. The event was held on Saturday, August 3rd 2013 at the Great Plaza Penn’s Landing Ph…iladelphia.
The African Cultural Alliance of North America Inc. (ACANA), is an agency founded on a mission to provide cultural sensitive social services, cultural programs, economic and workforce development programs, community engagement and development programs and other services targeting mainly African and Caribbean immigrants in the United States. The organization works closely with the City of Philadelphia and the State to bring the African Culture out to a bigger audience. Making this possible is the head Mr Voffee Jababteh, City Council representative Council Woman Janine Blackwell, who serves on the agency’s advisory board along with State Senator Anthony Williams and State Representative Ronald G. Waters.
Miss Africa Tri State Zoubaidatou Sylla was a Special Guest at the event. In her address, she talked about the importance of not just having outward beauty but also brains and being able to touch other people’s lives, she talked about her platform and what she hopes to accomplish as the current MATS. She also advised and called for unity amongst Africans in diaspora.
It was a wonderful event with lots of outdoor activities, food & drinks, some of the hottest musicians performed and most importantly the display of the rich African Culture to the larger world was imminent.
Miss Africa Tri State Queen Zoubaidatou Sylla was a Special Guest at the just concluded successful African Oscar Awards (NAFCA) in Washington DC. A lot of African Actors and Celebrities were in attendance to add cream to the event. Attached are some pictures taken at the after party !!!
